REEBOK: My Time

Reebok asked me to create a film and a suite of stills for the launch of their Men’s Training Range, fronted by boxer Conor Benn.

They wanted a 59s film that showcased Conor’s athleticism and dedication.

After to speaking to Conor I wanted to highlight his mental determination as he continues to make waves in the boxing world, and how we was stepping out of the shadows of his father, former World Champion, Nigel Benn.

The heart of the film was to get his take on what it’s like coming from a background of wealth and fame and getting into the fight game. As a boxer Conor is naturally confident, he acknowledges the legacy of his father and appreciates the start it’s given him in life, but how this is his time to fight for victories.

The minute between rounds – a fighter reflects on what’s gone before and what comes next – a nice way to bookend an idea of what happens in preparation for a fight – I storboarded the concept (see below) and then shot it over two days in South London.
